Job Description:
•Perform statistical analysis, including descriptive statistics, regression analyses and non-linear models.
•Provide integrated domain expertise across complex laboratory computational environments; generate custom scripts.
•Maintain computational infrastructure.
•Support, maintain, configure and upgrade specialized, legacy and domain-specific commercial and open source scientific software.
•Assume lead authorship on manuscripts, summarizing analyses.
•Collaborate with staff on writing other manuscripts (review papers, methods/results sections for papers on which statistical analysis was performed).
•Submit papers to peer reviewed journals; track and make required changes.
•Prepare posters on analyzed data for scientific meetings.
•Meet with staff to discuss and present results from statistical analysis; summarize, print and email results prior to meetings.
•Attend and present at scientific meetings.
•Participate in journal clubs and lab meetings, with presentations of data.
•Mentor summer students when appropriate.
•Work with staff on organizing a meeting and describing proceedings of meeting.

Required Skills:
•Ph.D. in Statistics or a related discipline; three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Master’s degree is equivalent to a Ph.D.
•Minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
•Demonstrated fluency in Unix operating systems, including high availability concepts; data integrity, and validation. 
•Demonstrated experience supporting varied and complex scientific hardware and applications.
•Experience with general analytics packages such as SAS, R, MATLAB or equivalent.
•Experience with office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
•Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
