Job Description:
Videographer/Camera Operator. Operate video cameras in studio configuration and live event settings; set up and operate video cameras and audio/video recording equipment in EFP and ENG modes for remote assignments; work with in tandem with production crew members, engineers, talent and clients to achieve optimal videography content as allowable within time and budget constraints; determine set up for lighting to achieve artistic illumination of subjects or scenes; properly label and deliver digital content to production coordinator or digital archivist, as appropriate; additional assignments my include setting up and breaking down camera equipment and other production peripherals before and after assignments, as well as transport of equipment to and from locations both on and off lab.

Required Skills:
Ability to operate a range of professional broadcast digital video cameras, including familiarity with camera settings for capture formats, color balance, and exposure levels; fundamental knowledge of broadcast video equipment and terminology; operational understanding of digital capture and file formats; ability to frame shots aesthetically and fluidly follow action as necessary; must be able to follow producer/director’s directions both in person and on headsets as well as taking initiative without direction when necessary; ability work as part of a team and interact with a wide range of people in a courteous and professional manner; ability to maintain confidentiality as necessary when subject matters require confidentiality. Preferably a bachelor’s degree plus two years of professional broadcast camera experience.
