Job Description:
• Ensure successful delivery of electronic hardware to various projects outsourced to suppliers 
• Evaluate electronic packaging and cable harness suppliers 
• Estimate cost, and develop schedules. 
• Manage statements of work for flight, engineering and early demonstration models 
• Interface with packaging and manufacturing engineers on technical requirements. 
• Work independently, and under the direction of the group supervisor, project management, and technical leads. 
• Maintain the cost, technical, schedule and documentation compliance of JPL contracts. 
• Process and monitor contract orders. 
• Monitor the technical progress and programmatic milestones. 
• Responsible for end to end management of electronic fabrication outsourcing activities from statement of work to vendor delivery of hardware, including weekly/monthly status of cost, schedule and technical issues. 
• Frequently interact with JPL acquisition and cognizant engineers in the Request for Proposals, Request for Quotes & Selection Debriefs of JPL contracts (including technical evaluations).

Required Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of related work experience; or Master's degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 4 years of related work experience; or PhD in a similar discipline with a minimum of 2 years of related work experience. 
• Extensive experience in program/project management. 
• Demonstrated ability to plan work including integrating cost and schedules. 
• Demonstrated experience delivering PWAs, cable harness and subsystem assemblies 
• Understanding of translating requirements into assembly of hardware. 
• Excellent negotiating skills and ability to work with contractors. 
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation). 
• Proven ability to work in a team environment. 

Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of JPL, NASA, and industry standards in electronics manufacturing for high reliability space applications.
