The POINTER (Precision Outdoor and Indoor Navigation and Tracking for Emergency Responders) project is a DHS funded project presently in Phase 3 and requires systems development, theoretical development, and experimentation. A specific need within POINTER that is addressed by this solicitation is the circuits and electronics development effort for POINTER’s next generation mobile quasistatic receiver sensor.
Circuits and electronics engineer with solid background in analog circuits and digital circuits. Excellent prototyping capabilities and experience in fabricating circuits via printed circuit boards. Experience with prototyping and design of analog and digital filters, and analog-todigital conversion circuitry. Understanding of RF concepts and application to lab measurement. Requires usage of standard RF laboratory equipment (network/spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes). Responsible for analysis, design, test and characterization of receiver chain frontend and digital back-end in conjunction with engineering team
Zynq-7000 SoC (or similar) FPGA development, Xilinx Vivado , Matlab/Simulink by Mathworks, Spice circuit simulation tools (Orcad, LTSpice), receiver design/test source control management (Git, Subversion).
