Job Description:
Executes daily operations of the CDC, Division of Vector Borne Diseases Travel Departments’ domestic and international travel program; implements changes to improve processes and strengthen team; builds external relationships; Coordinate and implement emergency travel plans for epidemiology-aid and outbreak investigations; functions in an adaptable and results-oriented work environment. 
Executes the Concur Travel System review program for all travel authorizations and vouchers and is point of contact for the Conference Approval System. 
Provides guidance for all international and domestic travel policy and procedure queries and ensures compliance with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR’s). Propose cost-effective solutions to complex travel challenges within the guidelines of the FTR. Provides interpretations of regulations and their application to controversial issues and proposes resolutions to critical or unusual problems for a large range of complex issues. Develops policies and procedures for travel.
Develops and provides training on the FTR’s, travel credit card, and travel/financial systems to travelers as well as preparers within the division, including the preparation, presentation, and scheduling of training. Prepares and updates travel management user guides and training manuals including on-line training tools. 
Prepares and verifies documents, processes transactions, maintains official records and compiles data or information from files and other sources. Performs weekly and monthly reconciliations and responding to customer questions.

Ability and/or previous knowledge of reviewing, researching, studying, explaining, and application/usage of various military regulations and policies
