W2 with full benefits
This is a rotating shift work position Three 12-hour Days, followed by Four 12-hour nights
Must be able to pass background check and drug screen

Job Description:
*Provides 24/7/365 shift work (12 hr. shifts for 4 days on and 3 days off) support to end users on a variety of issues supporting a various satellite ground systems.
*Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
*Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support using PATRON ticketing system.
*Documents, tracks and monitors PATRON help desk tickets to ensure a timely resolution.
*Performs a variety of computer related tasks
*Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager
*A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
*May lead or direct others

Required Skills:
*US Citizenship Required - No Green Cards or Visa's for this position. 
* Must have registered with Selective Service
*This is a rotating shift work position Three 12-hour Days, followed by Four 12-hour nights) and requirements may arise where the selectee for this position may be required to come in to work early, stay late, or work on scheduled days off. 
*May be required to periodically work at other NOAA facilities
* Familiar with a variety of the IT concepts, practices, and procedures 
* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
*120-day training results in certification
*Performs a variety of complicated computer based tasks
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*AA Degree + 4 years of IT experience OR 12 years IT without a degree
*Must be highly detail-oriented
*Adaptability, flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity and change
*Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
*Goal-driven and self-motivated attributes are a must
*Excellent verbal and written communications skills
*Requires outstanding interpersonal skills

Desired Skills:
Past experience in mission operations, customer service roles, or Help Desk support where interaction with customers/clients/users and use of IT computer systems is highly desired.
Past experience working with Government systems is preferred
