We are currently seeking Bioinformatics Scientist to work onsite with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD.

•Oversee data management of study protocols; monitor data entry; perform quality control checks.
•Participate in discussions and meetings with investigators, clinical staff, NIH database centers and outside vendors on data collection, management, quality assurance and analysis.
•Implement methods to ensure data quality and data harmonization, including genetic data.
•Write and implement SAS, R, PERL and/or PYTHON scripts to clean, format, merge and analyze datasets.
•Create and maintain technical documentation of data management and data dictionaries for various datasets.
•Maintain software, code repositories, releases and improvements.
•Research, evaluate and adopt new algorithms for the analysis of genomes and DNA sequencing data. •Provide computational analysis support for population-based statistical analyses, including sequencing projects; provide written technical descriptions of implemented algorithms.
•Perform various statistical analyses for investigators; present results in written, table and graphic forms.
•Contribute to the publication of the laboratory's research.
•Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or Bioinformatics.
•Minimum of three (3) years of experience in epidemiological research database management and statistical analyses.
•Demonstrated knowledge of database management and statistical analysis software.
•Demonstrated knowledge of SQL.
•Ability to write technical documentation and data dictionaries, and to summarize various statistical methods and analysis results.
•Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
•Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
•Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solve.
