Performs testing and characterization of Radio Frequency (RF) space-flight hardware in support of the REASON Instrument. Utilizes an extensive background to assist in the operation of RF lab equipment to test and validate flight hardware and perform data analysis of RF hardware. Formulates recommendations on routine technical problems with limited guidance.
US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED. 
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 
1. Conducting testing of RF space-flight hardware. 
2. Develop test plans and procedures. 
3. Assumes lead in evaluating/modifying existing ground support equipment. 
4. Performs analysis of data from RF tests and prepares reports and presentations 
5. Maintains files/records/operational data related to hardware. 
6. Performs other duties as assigned. 
7. Support and participate as part of JPL team to successfully complete the REASON instrument test campaign by March 2019. 

Required Skills:
1. 4-5 years experience in an RF laboratory environment, conducting testing of RF hardware 
2. Experience operating standard RF test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, noise figure meters, etc 
3. Experience writing test plans/procedures to verify requirements. 
4. Bachelors + 5 yrs experience or equivalent 
5. Matlab experience 

Desired Skills:
1. Experience working with space-flight hardware in a clean-room environment 
2. Self-starter with experience working with little supervision.
