Job Description:
As a Supply Chain Engineer II you will be working in the Technical Inventory and Flight Hardware Logistics Group, providing material planning and flight hardware logistics support for JPLs electronics fabrication and space mission teams. 
•Design and implement new supply chain/inventory management processes, recommending solutions to minimize excess inventory while responsibly managing total cost for the organization. 
•Manage a dynamic set of material inventory SKUs, interfacing with electronics fabrication subject matter experts and project engineers to forecast, source, and maintain appropriate levels through varying spaceflight project lifecycles. 
•Work with space mission teams to capture residual flight hardware, ensuring proper storage and handling for allocation to future missions. 
•Develop and generate key performance indicators/metrics, and recommend integrated supply chain/IT solutions utilizing existing systems or developing custom solutions. 
•Bridge the gap between daily business operations and engineering / IT groups at JPL to yield the best business solutions that incorporate technical, schedule, and cost constraints. 
•Mentor and coach others, providing work direction to other personnel and/or part-time students. 

Required Skills:
•4+ years’ experience working in aerospace, technology, or electronic hardware fabrication environments. 
•Demonstrated accomplishment in the coordination and prioritization of tasks that involve multiple customers with potentially different requirements. 
•Experience with processes relating to science and engineering development activities, material/enterprise resource planning (i.e. Oracle), supply chain management processes, and/or hardware inventory management systems. 
•Advanced knowledge of applicable Laboratory policies and procedures, NASA policies and procedures, and government regulations.


Desired Skills:
