Job Description:
Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) has an immediate opening for a security engineer. The qualified candidate will configure cross domain solution (CDS) implementations, conduct security testing, analyze test results, and develop risk assessment reports. The candidate will support the team that conducts security engineering and federal security compliance activities during the operation and maintenance of the GPS-OCX systems – the ground station for the next generation GPS constellation. This position requires US Citizenship and a current Secret clearance. 

Responsibilities:  
•Implementing and configuring CDS using Forcepoint/Raytheon High Speed Guards (HSG) 
•Providing support for technical implementation of security solutions comprised of COTS, FOSS, and custom products 
•Evaluating deployed security solutions comprised of COTS and custom products 
•Preparing for, supporting and/or leading security test & evaluation activities for verification of security related requirements 
•Applying knowledge of current IA policies and best practices to support the architecture and design of secure solutions to customer needs and requirements 
•Reviewing and documenting compliance with security directive assessments 
•Preparing for, writing, and presenting trade studies, cost benefit analyses, reports and briefings as required

Required Skills:
•Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 4 years of related work experience or 12 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline
•Demonstrable in-depth expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems administration 
•Existing US Government Secret security clearance 
•Experience on cyber security engineering projects and programs for U.S. Government and/or commercial clients. 
•4 years of technical experience in cyber security to include best practices/methodologies, technologies, system design, and/or experience in an operational environment 
•Strong understanding of cybersecurity architecture designs 
•Ability to work collaboratively across traditional engineering disciplines. 
•Must be a self-starter capable of multitasking and efficient time management in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision 
•Practical experience with hardening IT systems to be verifiably compliant with STIG guidelines 
•Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, with short notification 
•DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Current Security+ certification) 
•Experience with one or more of the following: 
      -Linux systems administration o Windows system administration 
      -COTS product security 
      -Use of Nessus and/or Security Center vulnerability assessment tools 
      -Operating System hardening o Vulnerability Assessment documentation (tool findings       review, mitigation/justification)

Desired Skills:
•Experience with and technical knowledge of satellite ground systems, including hardware, software, and communications architecture 
•CISSP certification 
•Six Sigma certification
