Job Description:
Deployment analysis of a reflector attached to the mast structure using MSC/ADAMS. 
1. Perform multi-body dynamic analysis 
2. Modify/improve vendor's model [if required] 

Required Skills:
• Requires a Bachelors degree in mechanical or civil engineering, or related technical discipline with a minimum of 9 years of related experience; Masters degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 7 years of related experience; or PhD in similar disciplines with a minimum of 5 years related experience. 
• Wide-ranging experience and advanced knowledge in structural engineering, analysis, and verification of space flight structures (spacecraft or instruments), mechanisms, or opto-mechanical assemblies. 
• Extensive understanding and wide application of advanced principles, theories, concepts and techniques in structural and/or dynamics analysis resulting in contributions to the development of new theories and/or methods. 
• Complete knowledge of industry and/or academic practices and standards related to structural analysis, finite element analysis, and structural verification testing. 
• Specialized knowledge in one or more of the following: Extensive experiences in deployment analysis of large deployable structure utilizing MSC/ADAMS

Desired Skills:
• Bachelors degree in mechanical or civil engineering, or related technical discipline with a minimum of 20 years of related experience; Masters degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 18 years of related experience. 
• Experience in completing structural analyses of complex and unique flight mechanical systems and detailed analyses of its components. 
• Ability to provide design recommendations, and presents structural margins & analyses to project management. 
• Ability to develop and conduct structural verification test programs for space flight hardware. 
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, mechanism, and/or structural anomalies and failures. 
• Ability to develop innovative design solutions for existing problems to enable requirements or mechanical performance to be met. 
• Recognized expert in the field of structural analysis or dynamics. 
• Complete knowledge of Laboratory policies and procedures, NASA policies and procedures, and government regulations across a range of applications. 
• Working knowledge of flight project practices and JPL flight hardware design principles.
