Job Description:
Will be a member of the National Security Program Office (NSPO) in support of the Special Programs Group that is internal to NSPO, and will report to the NSPO Program Manager and the Special Programs Group Supervisor.. Responsibility for daily escorting in a secured environment including facility management escorts. Administrative duties in support of the security procedures and requirements, including monitoring classified areas and maintaining confidential and classified materials. General support including telephone coverage, mail distribution, maintain and update spreadsheets and databases. Will perform ad-hoc duties as needed. Will exercise good judgement and use professional discretion in dealing with all levels of JPL employees and contractors/affiliates as well as NASA civil servants.

Required Skills:
-Perform classification / sensitization review of both incoming and outgoing documents, electronic media and equipment. 
-Ensure application of necessary security statements are appropriate on information to be released. 
-Solid understanding of the general job aspects of escorting. 
-Broad understanding of office operations and procedures.
-Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office--Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook. 
-Ability to quickly learn and apply JPL administrative, business, and HR policies, procedures, and processes. 
-Ability to prioritize assignments and complete them accurately, multitask effectively, pay attention to detail 
-Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with regular interruptions. 
-Ability to adapt work efforts to meet rapidly changing organizational needs. 
-Good verbal and written communication skills. 
-Ability to use tact and discretion when working with sensitive or confidential data. 
-Ability to take initiative. 
-Proven ability to provide excellent customer service to a diverse team. 
-Work effectively as a member of teams. 
-Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Top Secret (TS) clearance based upon a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within 5 year scope and be able to be approved for Sensitive Complemented Information (SCI) accesses.

-Apply deep understanding of the state-of-the-art in intrusion detection systems and devices, safes and other storage containers, locks and locking systems, and personnel entry control systems in assessing various situations related to maintenance and alarms. 
-May inspect, analyze, test and evaluate security systems. 
-Perform ad-hoc duties and assist other Protective Services Division Groups as required
