Job Description:
* Provides 24/7/365 shift work (12 hr. shifts for 4 days on and 3 days off) support to end users on a variety of issues supporting several NOAA satellite ground systems. 
* Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. 
* Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support using PATRON ticketing system. 
* Documents, tracks and monitors PATRON help desk tickets to ensure timely resolution. 
* Performs a variety of computer related tasks 
* Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager 
* A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required 
* May lead or direct others

Required Skills:
* US Citizenship Required - No Green Cards or Visa's for this position. 
* Must have registered with Selective Service 
* Must have Associates Degree and 4+ years of experience OR 12+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
* This is a rotating shift work position: Three 12-hour Days, time off, followed by Four 12-hour nights) and requirements may arise where the selectee for this position may be required to come in to work early, stay late, or work on scheduled days off. 
* May be required to periodically work at other NOAA facilities 
* Familiar with a variety of the IT concepts, practices, and procedures 
* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
* 120-day training results in certification
