Job Description:
•Fabricate electronic assemblies and cabling including: 
      o Perform cable harness fabrication and assembly. 
      o Perform connector pin crimping, cabling and chassis wiring. 
      o Perform printed wiring board electronic assembly, hybrid and hand soldering. 
      o Perform microelectronic assembly, mechanical assembly, and chassis wiring for engineering model and flight electronic systems. 
      o Use and operate automated and manual manufacturing tools and equipment to produce high reliability printed wiring electronic assemblies and hybrid/microelectronic assemblies. 
      o Support cognizant engineers in assessing and recommending design modifications. 
      o Develop bill of materials and purchase parts o Learn to design electronic assemblies and printed wiring boards using computer aided design.

Required Skills:
•A High School diploma six or more years of related professional testing experience, or an Associate’s degree with one or more years of related experience. 
•Ability and personality to successfully interface and communicate both verbally and written with other team members. 
•The qualifications described below or the ability and personality to quickly learn them from experienced personnel. 
      o Self-starter highly motivated individual with the ability to carry out tasks with minimal oversight. 
      o Advanced knowledge of electronic and mechanical fabrication techniques to fabricate and assemble complex mechanical, electronic, electromechanical, hybrid, cable harness assembly and microelectronics systems, devices, fixtures, parts or equipment. 
      o Advanced understanding of work techniques, applicable policies, procedures and practices in planning, setup, repair and/or modification of mechanical, electronic or electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment. 
      o Experience in working from schematics, rough sketches, diagrams, layouts or plans often requiring interpretation. 
      o Solid work experience in working in a cleanroom environment and ESD workstations. 
      o Ability to work using a microscope and micro-assembly tools.

Desired Skills:
•Familiarity with Laboratory and NASA policies and procedures, and government regulations across a range of applications is preferred but not essential as these can be learned.
