Job Description:
•Lead a multidisciplinary team of hardware, software, and firmware engineers to develop, test, and deliver EM/FM models of stationary and floating platform digital modules to flight electronics Integration and Test (I&T) 
•Develop electronics slice-level requirements and show traceability to higher level project requirements 
•Work with flight electronics system and cognizant engineers to review existing interfaces and ECR as necessary 
•Collaborate with flight electronics system and cognizant engineers to develop and execute digital subsystem V&V plan 
•Perform design / risk / cost / schedule trade studies 
•Be responsible for electronics Bench Test Equipment (BTE) development and test 
•Be responsible for performing and delivering electronics reliability analyses and support reliability analysis reviews 
•Take ownership and maintain the existing prototype assemblies 
•Evaluate software and firmware for re-use suitability and oversee modifications, verification, and deliveries as needed 
•Oversee the overall design, fabrication, assembly, and testing of the EM and FM boards and subassemblies 
•Evaluate existing DSOC electronic boards and perform required modifications and update PWB schematics and layouts to comply with FM requirements 
•Be responsible for developing test plans and procedures 
•Be responsible for testing of the EM and flight hardware with firmware and software 
•Be responsible for schedule and budget 
•Participate in project and subsystem milestone reviews and MMRs 
•Support flight electronics I&T, DSOC I&T, and ATLO 
•Update FM parts lists and support parts qualification and procurement efforts
•Support flight electronics environmental test campaign 
•Be responsible for handling of flight articles including interaction with QA and use of BATs

Required Skills:
•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineer or a related discipline ence with a minimum 8 years experience, or a Master’s degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 6 years of related experience, or a Ph.D. in similar disciplines with a minimum of 4 years related experience. 
•Experience in the development and delivery of Electra or UST related software defined radio products and space flight hardware 
•Experience developing design requirements, solving engineering problems, coordinating fabrication, assembly, and qualification of space flight hardware 
•Proven ability to work in a team environment and lead a team of engineers and technicians 
•Ability to meet deadlines and be responsive to customers 
•Strong communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills 
•Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following areas: PWB design, fabrication, and assembly; digital hardware; FPGAs and firmware; microprocessors and embedded software 

Desired Skills:
•Experience in cost account management and schedule tracking 
•Advanced knowledge of applicable Laboratory policies and procedures, NASA policies and procedures, and government regulations 
•In depth understanding of electronic systems, design, fabrication, debugging, and integration and test 
•Demonstrated ability to oversee re-use of inherited EM/FM software and firmware 
•Demonstrated ability to develop and execute verification and validation plans and procedures
