Job Description:
The Raytheon Hardware and Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team has professional Infrastructure Engineer opportunities available to support platform baseline management activities on the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) program – NASA's premier observatory of the next decade. This position will perform network engineering tasks pertaining to detail design development and creating engineering design artifacts. Tasks include designing\implementing switch, firewall, and router configurations, and owning the interface control document (ICD) for networking. Individual should possess knowledge and experience with network technologies, services, operations, and associated security practices.

Required Skills:
•B.S./B.A. in Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering and 6 years of related work experience or an additional 8 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
•6+ years of relevant experience directly related to network engineering design 
•In-depth understanding of network technologies and associated services, management, and security practices/techniques 
•Proven communicator with Leadership, Peers and Subordinates 
•Familiarity and ability to read, understand, and implement configurations of: 
•Cisco ASA firewall experience with Contexts, filters, SSL VPN 
•Cisco ISR Router experience with GRE and IP Sec tunnels as well as ACLs, OSPF, NATs, HSRP 
•Cisco ACS RADIUS, TACACS, RSA two-factor authentication 
•Cisco LAN Core and Distribution switches, experience with ACL’s, routing, hardening 
•Juniper SRX Firewall 
•Knowledge/experience with WAN implementations 
•Cognizant of network topologies as well as understand necessary configuration details 
•Familiar with TCP, and secure protocols 
•Experience with Data Center LAN design, Implementation, diagnostics, performance and management 
•Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally   

Desired Skills: 
•Knowledge/experience with SAN implementations (iSCSI, Fiber Channel) 
•Knowledge/experience with VMware implementations 
•Knowledge/experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Center for Internet Security (CIS) Benchmarks 
•Network Certifications such as CCNP, CCNA 
•Experience with Configuration Management
