Roles and responsibilities

Required Skills:
-High School diploma with a minimum of 6 years of general work experience; related required training. 
Must have experience in: 
- working with IT applications 
- data entry 
- dealing and communicating with a technical workforce who may not fully understand administrative processes 
- prioritizing work demands 
- customer intensive situations 
- data analysis and metrics reporting 
- telephone skills - Responsible for completing significant project or assignment milestones. 
- Experience and advanced knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Cybersecurity Operations, Identity Management Systems, Network and Systems Architecture, UNIX, Linux-based and Windows systems administration. 
- Extensive understanding and wide application of advanced principles, theories, concepts and techniques in securing networked computer systems. 
- Knowledge and direct working experience with various Cybersecurity technologies: Splunk, Syslog, Network Generation Firewalls, Single Sign On solutions, Enterprise vulnerability scanning and management 
- Experience architecting scalable systems and applications. 
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively capturing and communicating technical information at all levels. 
- Knowledge of industry standard programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, PHP, and Shell Scripting 
- Must be U.S. citizen with a current SECRET level Clearance


Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with JPL, and its' organizational structure. 
- Familiarity with NASA or Federal Government badging and credential processes. 
- Applicant should have excellent verbal and demonstrated written communication skills, including the ability to deal directly with customers at all levels. 
- Works well under pressure with minimal supervision. 
- Understands sensitive situations and communicates accordingly. 
- Experience with architecting and automating scalable systems and applications 
- Experience working individually or within cross-functional teams supporting cross-functional programs 
- Demonstrated success in understanding internal business processes in a high-tech environment such as project management and designing system enhancements. 
- Previous implementation and maintenance experience with log aggregation tools, data analytic systems and network vulnerability management tools. 
- Experience leading technical teams on large-scale projects through completion. 
- Previous experience with business critical systems and multi-departmental collaboration. 
- Expert experience in problem solving, analytic and communicating complex/complicated ideas
