Job Description:
Software Developer is needed for the GPS OCX program to create and maintain backend Java, Python, Ruby, JSON, and BASH scripts for creating and generating Configuration information including human readable reports and machine readable artifacts to support GPS OCX Automated Deployment. The individual will be responsible for collaborating with the GUI and database developers to create a working product. 

Duties and responsibilities include: 
Collaborating with stakeholders, the database team, and system engineering to design and maintain human readable reports and machine readable artifacts. 
Ability to take ownership of the backend development to ensure it functions as intended for all of our stakeholders. 
Extending existing reports and artifacts to include correct deployment data. 
Defining, designing, and integrating Java based test mechanisms to ensure reports and artifacts are generated correctly prior to committing them to the teams DevOps pipeline. Integrating the tests within Jenkins in compliance with Continuous Integration needs. 
Maintaining and extending backend Java, Python, Ruby, and JSON capabilities per user/stakeholder feedback. 
Integrating existing and new backend report generators with an oracle-based relational database to create, modify and maintain complex queries used for synthesizing reports and artifacts. 

Required Skills:
•At least 4 years of experience 
•Expert at coding in Java within the Eclipse IDE with specific experience using JQuery. 
•Highly experienced with Python and Ruby code generation, debugging, and 
•Highly experienced with integrating Java code with Oracle databases. Individuals should be able to perform queries for data, understand parent-child relationships, etc. 
•Extensive Windows and Linux experience 
•US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance required; active SECRET security clearance is ideal 
•Ability to work well with a team 
•BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar 

Desired Skills:
•DevOps Experience 
•Cloud Based Development Experience 
•Tomcat Experience 
•Familiar with Scrum terminology and methodologies 
•Familiar with test integration within Jenkins
