Job Description:
This position provides principal secretarial support in an office, usually to one individual, and, in some cases, to the subordinate staff of that individual. The Secretary maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of the supervisor and staff, works fairly independently receiving a minimum of detailed supervision and guidance, and performs various clerical and secretarial duties requiring knowledge of office routine and an understanding of the organization, programs, and procedures related to the work of the office. Computers may exist in the environment, requiring working knowledge of certain office software programs.

Required Skills:
-Demonstrated experience in the secretarial profession with organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills. 
-Ability to work effectively and independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic office environment.
-Requires a self-starter that is capable of prioritizing work assignments and also possesses the ability to work on multiple tasks. 
-Ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel and management across multiple organizations. 
-Strong PC and Mac computer skills in MS Office applications. 
-Experience in processing domestic/foreign travel using the Concur software
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills:
-Will perform staff assistant duties for the Office of the Chief Information Officer. 
-Will be responsible for maintaining office files, electronic mail, organizing and maintaining calendars for program managers and maintaining schedules for meetings, travel and absences. 
-Will maintain the filing system, including Windows, Excel , Office 365, PowerPoint and prepare presentation materials, travel reservations, authorizations and expense reports. 
-Will process domestic/foreign travel forecasts, oversee timekeeping procedures, coordinate conferences, reviews, and meetings.
