Job Description:
The Raytheon IIS Hardware & Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team is seeking individuals with expertise in infrastructure build automation architecture to join our team developing the state-of-the-art GPS-OCX system – the ground station for the next generation GPS satellite constellation. The qualified candidates will have a background in infrastructure service design and implementation using DevOps automation tools. They will be responsible for the development of Chef automation strategies as well as defining the recipe and cookbook elements necessary to perform infrastructure build automation for complex systems. Some travel (<25%) may be required for installation and troubleshooting support at customer sites. The ability to obtain a US Government Secret clearance is required for this position. 

Required Skills:
•Familiarity with infrastructure service design and architecture 
•Understanding of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code concepts 
•Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using build automation tools such as Chef (preferred), Puppet, or Ansible 
•Knowledge of private cloud environments based on VMware and/or OpenStack 
•Scripting skills in languages such as Python, Ruby, bash, PowerShell, etc. 
•Effective written and oral communication skills 
•The ability to obtain a US Government Secret clearance

Desired Skills:
•Exposure to orchestration tools such as Rundeck or vRealize Orchestrator 
•Experience with source code configuration management processes and tools, e.g. git, ClearCase 
•Background in Linux system administration
