Job Description:
This position is for an Asset Manager on the ESA IV program. ESA IV is an IT Services program supporting several customers within the Department of Justice. The program provides a range of IT services, including help desk, deskside support, Windows workstation engineering and maintenance, managed print services, ITSM, Active Directory services, and video conferencing, among others.

The asset manager will perform Asset Management functions under the direction of the government. This individual will be responsible for tracking all assets in the customer’s ITSM system, currently Remedy, and then once the migration to the ServiceNow suite is completed, in ServiceNow. Assets to be tracked will include all computers, mobile phones, Flash drives, tablets, projectors, servers, Wi-Fi endpoints, switches, routers, hubs, and other IT equipment.

The Asset Manager will provide weekly updates to the government Property Custodian. This person will also be responsible for obtaining the Personal property forms for the transferring of all equipment that holds data. Other responsibilities include providing an adequate location to store received equipment as well as equipment that must be excessed and picked up for disposal.
Ordering toner for customer sites in Washington DC will also be the responsibility of the Asset Manager. He or she will also track Move/Add/Changes and government maintenance agreements.

The Asset Manager will be responsible for assisting the government in reconciling the equipment inventory with awarded maintenance contracts, with the goal of ensuring that all equipment is covered by maintenance contracts, and that contracts are not maintained for equipment no longer in use.

In addition, the Asset Manager is responsible for tracking software licenses and maintenance agreements and providing government staff with information about when maintenance agreements expire and to track any software media received by the government. The Asset Manager will also track stock levels of various supplies (i.e., toner, CDs, USB drives) and advise the government when a reorder point is reached so that the government can acquire additional supplies.

The Asset Manager will be assigned to work full time at a customer site in Washington, DC. The individual selected for this position will assist a full-time government staff member in providing Asset Management support to the Division.

The ideal candidate will be personable and articulate, and will focus on making sure that the customer’s IT needs are met quickly and effectively. He or she will be a self-starter who can work with limited supervision. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively interface with customers on site and with staff in the main office in Washington, DC.

Required Skills:
-The individual selected for this position must successfully complete a security investigation by the Government.
- Four years or more of IT Asset Management experience
- One year of experience with ITSM tools such as Service Now or Remedy
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to multitask and function in a quick-paced environment.

Desired Skills:
- Past experience with the Department of Justice
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
