Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be personable and articulate, and will focus on making sure that the customer’s IT needs are met quickly and effectively.  He or she will be a self-starter who can work with limited supervision.  Excellent communication skills are required to effectively interface with customers on site and with staff in the main office in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities include:
-Maintain a defined backup schedule which allows data to be recovered quickly and easily, and ensure that backups occur on schedule
-Support backup and restore procedures and execution in order to meet contractually agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and -Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) for different types of data
-Conduct periodic data restoration tasks to ensure that the backup systems are functioning properly
-Utilize Microsoft SCOM, APC DataCenter, NetApp OnCommand, Citrix Director and Cisco -Prime to monitor infrastructure components such as APCs, storage, databases, VOIP components, and Wi-Fi
-Monitor and maintain server-side applications and platform services including iManage, Remedy ITSM, Citrix, SQL, MySQL, Oracle, and SharePoint, as well as network equipment such as switches and routers.  
-Work in a rapid paced environment and work independently
-Maintain the smooth operation of a multi-user computer systems, including coordination with other administrators, customers and engineers
-Interact with users and evaluate vendor products
-Utilize scripting with the goal of improving and increasingly automating operations
-Create, maintain, and implement detailed documentation and maintain standard operating procedures
-Apply security settings and other commercial security best practices
-Provide support on a M-F business hours schedule; also responsible for on-call, extended hour, and weekend support as required by mission or emergency situations


Required Skills:
-The individual selected for this position must successfully complete a security investigation by the government.
-Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 5 years of overall related experience with a Windows server environment; additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree
-Customer interface experience
-Good experience with backup, restore and storage systems and devices
-Scripting experience
-Knowledge of all or most of the following systems: Microsoft SCOM, APC DataCenter, NetApp OnCommand, Citrix Director, Cisco Prime
-Familiarity with monitoring all or most of the following infrastructure components: APCs, storage, databases, switches, routers, VOIP components, Wi-Fi
-Familiarity with monitoring all or most of the following applications: iManage, ITSM, Citrix, SQL, MySQL, Oracle, SharePoint
-System (hardware) and application (software) installation and configuration
-System monitoring using installed tools as well as external tools
-Application of security settings and other commercial security best practices
-Experience with configuration, troubleshooting and maintaining virtual and cloud environments
-Excellent written and verbal communications skills
-Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills:
-ITIL training and/or certification
-Working knowledge of Windows and Linux servers
-Working knowledge of Networking
-Past experience with the Department of Justice
-DOJ or DOD Active Clearance
-Exposure to SQL and Oracle and database concepts and installations
-ITSM knowledge and experience, particularly with ServiceNow
