Job Description:
•Participate in the technical and programmatic work of a Spacecraft System Integration & Test team that is responsible for assembly and delivery of the JPL flight payloads or spacecraft. Projects may include, but are not limited to: Mars 2020 Rover, Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT), Sentinel-6 or NASA-ISRO SAR Mission (NISAR), or other projects and studies.
•Participate in planning and execution of the System I&T activities, and integration of the spacecraft at the system level.
•Will work within the System I&T team to execute the tests and provide the test results as required in support of the SI&T activities at JPL and at the missions designated launch sites.
•Share responsibility with other team members for the safety and security of workforce, flight hardware and associated support equipment during all System I&T activities.
•Support critical project milestones and reviews as required. Provide status and coordination with line management, System I&T management and flight system PDMs as required.
•Partners with systems engineering and subsystem delivery elements to ensure a thorough and successful end-to-end test program for the hardware, software, and/or other project elements requiring usage of the System I&T venue.
•Report programmatically to the System I&T PDM and administratively to the Section 313B Technical Group Supervisor.


Required Skills:
•Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
•Offer contingent on ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
•Bachelors degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline with a minimum of 6 years of related experience; Masters degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 4 years of related experience; or PhD in similar disciplines with 2 years related experience.
•Experience planning, organizing, executing, and participating in spacecraft system integration and test (I&T) activities.
•Demonstrated ability to excel in Systems Engineering and System I&T environments.
•Expertise in electrical integration and system functional and environmental test.
•Proven ability to successfully collaborate with other technical organizations.
•Verifies complex and multi-functional systems requirements.
•Team player with exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to operate effectively with little oversight.
•Demonstrated experience in testing of systems, including test planning, test procedure development, and data analysis.
•Ability and willingness to travel.

Desired Skills:
•Significant experience participating in or leading JPL Systems Engineering or System Integration, Test, and Launch Operations activities.
•Proven ability to plan and manage complex technical, financial, workforce and schedule resources. •Extensive understanding with planning, coordinating, and executing launch site activities.
•Extensive understanding with the coordination and execution of a system level Verification and Validation (V&V) program.
•Experience working with Contamination Control and Planetary Protection for flight missions. •Experience planning (storyboarding) and executing spacecraft mechanical assembly activities. •Extensive understanding with planning and executing electrical integration, functional checkout
and system test activities.
•Experience planning and executing flight vehicle environmental test program.
•Experience executing logistics activities for large spacecraft (testbed and flight vehicle) assemblies.
•Ability to react to frequent changes in plans and excel in a rapid pace concurrent engineering
environment.
•Complete knowledge of Laboratory policies and procedures, NASA policies and procedures, and government regulations across a range of applications.
•Understanding of the proper application of JPL design principles, flight project practices, (flight) hardware handling constraints, and the JPL risk management practices.
