•Determine vibration, acoustic, and shock environments for spacecraft systems and subsystems, specify design and test requirements, conduct, oversee or monitor system/equipment dynamic tests and evaluate test results, and monitor system contractor activities.
•Provide dynamics engineering knowledge to projects.
•Interface with project personnel and contractors and collaborate with other dynamists on assigned projects.
•Contribute to design reviews and technical presentations for project management.
•Collaborate with team members to verify compliance with requirements and customer expectations.
•Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
•Offer contingent on ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
•Extensive knowledge in dynamics environments requirement development and spacecraft hardware testing
•Experience and advanced knowledge in analytical methodologies and substantial experience in solving vibration, acoustic and shock problems.
•Understanding and wide application of advanced principles, theories, concepts and techniques in vibration, acoustics and shock analysis anddesign and test specification experience for spacecraft systems and subsystems.
•Advanced knowledge of industry and/or academic practices and standards across a range of applications related to vibration, acoustic, and shock testing and data analysis.
•Subject expertise in random dynamic digital signal analysis, instrumentation and data acquisition.
•Strong ability to work system tasks, and adept at communicating with multiple interfaces.
•Proven ability to work in a team environment
•Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal, negotiation and organizational skills.
•Complete knowledge of Laboratory policies and procedures, NASA policies and procedures, and government regulations across a range of applications.
•Advanced engineering degree specializing in vibrations and acoustics.
•Working knowledge of FEM, BEM, and SEA vibroacoustics analysis codes such as PATRAN, FEMAP, MSC/NASTRAN, SDRC/IDEAS, SYSNOISE, and VA One. Knowledgeable of force limited vibration specification and test methodologies. Experience in modal testing and analysis.
•Extensive Experience in providing dynamics environments analysis, requirements specification, and test support to space flight projects.
•Experience in preparing proposals and implementing research tasks in dynamics and related fields.
•Experience in conducting high-intensity direct-field acoustic tests
•Conduct random and quasi-static electro-dynamic shaker vibration tests with multiple controls, summed force limits, and acceleration response limits; measure and analyze time histories of the system response.
