Job Description:
Will be a software tool developer for the Europa Clipper mission. Will develop tools for the FSW development and test bed environment, in addition to upgrading/modifying the JPL Work Station Test Set (WSTS) software. Specific responsibilities include:
•Develop the FSW test environment infrastructure and tools (written in Python, Perl, shell) to facilitate test execution, visualization and analysis of test outputs (html, css, javascript, etc.), test data archival and search facility.
•Develop testbed configuration tools to log hardware, fpga and software configuration of the environment
•Maintain and debug current testbed tools
•Develop Spacewire parsing tools to debug hardware interfaces

These efforts will be in support of the following Europa Clipper teams:
Flight Software Integration and Test
Avionics Integration and Test


Required Skills:
•Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
•Offer contingent on ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
•Strong architectural and software development experience in implementing test environment infrastructure and tools to facilitate hardware
configuration, test script development, test execution, test results visualization, test output analysis to automate success/failure verification, test data archival and search facility.
•Working experience in a Linux operating system for software development and testing.
•C, Python, ElasticSearch, HTML
•Green Hills/integrity experience
•Ability to work with hardware test platform consisting of compute elements and other devices for software testing.
•Self-motivated with strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well individually or in a team environment

Desired Skills:
•At least 6 years of C and Python programming experience.
•Experience in performing the role of system engineer to specify testing scenarios
•Experience with formal software development processes, standards, and practices for space missions in an environment like JPL.
•Familiarity with web-based applications and html, css, jquery, json, etc.
•Familiarity with cloud computing (elasticsearch, kibana, etc.)
