Job Description:
Seeking a self-motivated individual who can work well both independently and in a team environment to serve as a Project Systems Engineer for a program in support of our customer. The candidate will be responsible for independent verification and validation (IV&V) of space flight opto-mechanical hardware.

The independent verification and validation worked on the space flight opto-mechanical hardware includes, but are not limited, to the following:
•Requirements management
•Interface definitions
•Systems engineering analyses and assessments
•Verification and validation

The candidate will also interact with other customer teams to develop and apply systems engineering policies, practices, requirements, plans, and schedules.


Required Skills:
•The candidate must be a citizen of the United States of America
•Candidate must have a minimum of a Top Secret/SCI clearance
•A United States Government administered polygraph examination will be given to the selected candidate; he/she must pass it to maintain employment in this position
•This position requires U.S. Citizenship and an active U.S. TS/SCI clearance based upon Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within a 5 year scope
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline with typically a minimum of 8 years of related experience
•Solid understanding and application of principles, theories, concepts, and techniques used in system engineering
•Experience providing IV&V services for software/hardware projects
•Excellent problem solving skills
•Ability to deal with multiple issues, tasks, and priorities concurrently
•Demonstrated experience in requirements development, management, and verification for a project implementation
•Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Desired Skills:
•Experience in all phases of the design, development, system integration, test and operation of spacecraft and/or scientific payloads
•Significant understanding and wide application of advanced principles, theories, concepts and techniques in project systems engineering and concepts in systems engineering in space missions, resulting in contributions to the development of new theories and methods •Experience with functional requirement development and translation into system / subsystem / architecture, design, and implementation
•Expertise with development and delivery of system documentation, such as requirements documents, test plans, and design description documents
•Ability to interact effectively across multiple disciplines with government and non-government agencies
