12 month contract position

Customer and contract specific training will be required and provided.
•Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
•Related required training in mechanical hardware and electronic hardware inspection practices and advanced knowledge in two or more of the following areas:
-Inspection techniques (non-destructive, electronics, mechanical)
-Applicable policies, procedures, and practices in quality discipline
-Documentation of hardware quality
-Use of drawings and specifications
-Writing inspection reports and non-conformances
-Reviewing of IBATS
-Witnessing assembly of hardware
•Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
•Offer contingent on ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
•Candidate must have demonstrated ability to interact with peers and/or functional partners within the organization, as well as customers external to JPL and may assist less experienced personnel with work assignments.
•Application of required policies, procedures and practices to resolve a variety of complex procedure will be required, with general supervision for routine work and detailed instructions for new assignments.
•Previous experience with receiving inspection and creation of inspection reports.
•Ability to accurately read drawings and specifications.
•Ability to follow detailed inspection plans (work instructions).
•Work independently once fully trained.
