Job Description:
GOES-IO (Systems Engineering Support / Requirements Development and Management) Supporting the establishment of a geostationary satellite over the Indian Ocean (IO). The selectee will support the Government in the development and maintenance of space and ground requirements. The contractor shall provide support to satellite programs as specified by the Project Manager.

Required Skills:

•Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
•Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field & 12+ years of related experience or Masters degree and 10+ years related experience
•The selected System Engineer will be supporting extremely complex programs and will be working with other contractor personnel as well as US Government representatives and decision makers. •The majority of work assignments are self-directed; therefore, the selectee must have a successful track record of working independently, managing time, managing multiple (sometimes conflicting) priorities, and personally accountable for completion of duties and assignments.
•Actively represent and pursue the best interests of an assigned project, leveraging experience and expertise to ensure mission goals and objectives (stated and implied) are foremost in analysis and subsequent recommendations for actions/plans.
•Development of on-station system requirements (including new (e.g., antenna, site) and modifications to baseline).
•Performing system requirement trades and allocations.
•Providing support for the development and maintenance of systems specifications and other memorandums of agreements (MOAs).
•Maintaining requirement traceability.
•Supporting the change process for all system and interface requirements documentation.
•Supporting requirements allocation to lower level segments.
•Performing analysis to assess impacts to segments based on modified user sets.
•Provide support in developing service offerings and service level agreements (SLAs).
•Active participant in meetings, working groups, teams
•Compilation of reports, presentations, recommendations, and position statements
•Excellent written and oral presentation skills
•While not required to supervise the activities of others, the selectee is required to have leadership skills to champion mission/project goals and objectives.

Desired Skills:
•Past experience with NOAA (especially NESDIS) or NASA systems, missions, projects, and protocols is preferred; however, applicable experience with other government agencies will be considered.
