Job Description:
Provide an Oracle Architect who will be responsible for overviewing analyses organizational business needs in terms of information technology systems requirements.  Typical Functions Develops information technology systems that will provide system capabilities required for projected workloads, and plans layout and installation of new system or modification of existing system.  Excludes paraprofessional positions.  Confers within the organization with various managers and staff to obtain information on limitations and capabilities of existing system and capabilities required for information technology requirements of the future.  Evaluates factors such as number of departments serviced by data processing equipment, reporting formats required, volume of transactions, time requirements and cost constraints, and need for security and access restrictions to determine hardware configurations.  Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan layout for type of computers and peripheral equipment, or modifications to existing equipment and system that will provide capability for proposed project or workload, efficient operation, and effective use of allotted space. May enter data into computer terminal to store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. May specify power supply requirements and configuration.  May train users to use new or modified equipment.  May monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.  May represent consulting firm or equipment manufacturer.


Required Skills:
•Must be a US Citizen
•Offer contingent on ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
•Recent extensive hands on experience with the management and virtualization of Oracle VM (within 4 years’ experience required)
•Strong background with Linux specifically Red Hat and Oracle Linux, package management, file systems and virtualization (minimum of 5 years’ experience required)
•Experience managing SAN fabrics, and enterprise storage arrays
•Ability to troubleshoot operating system/application issues in a 24/7 365 environment
•Writing scripts in one or more of the following: bash or other shell, python, php, or perl
•Experience working in an operational data center environment providing hardware support
•Experience working with virtual environments (Oracle VM)
•Must have a minimum of 6+ years’ experience and Bachelor’s degree
•This individual must be self-motivated, exhibit a strong work ethic, excellent written and verbal skills, time management, organizational skills, as well as the ability to work remotely and in a team environment.

Desired Skills:
•Experience managing EMC and Oracle enterprise storage arrays
•Experience working with virtual environments (VMware, OpenStack, Amazon Web Services)
•Experience with Oracle Operations Center Enterprise Manager
•Experience working with Oracle WebLogic
•Workflow Automation
•Experience managing Brocade FC SAN fabrics, CLI and Brocade Network Advisor
