Job Description:
The EQS and MQS (Electro-Quasistatic & Magneto-Quasistatic Sensor) projects are Chevron and DHS funded projects presently in R&D Phase and requires systems development, theoretical development, and experimentation. This posting seeks to address an immediate need in embedded systems engineering, which covers embedded systems (FPGA, microprocessor, digital signal processing).

Required Skills:
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
• Offer contingent on ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
• Driving (a government issued vehicle) is required for this position. Must have a valid California driver’s license, a clean driving record and successfully pass a DMV check.
• Strong programming skills and knowledge (C/C++, Matlab/Python)
• Strong background in digital signal processing methods
• Prior experience with the latest FPGA architectures and development tools, including experience with Xilinx Zynq SoCs or similar devices.
• VHDL or Verilog programming & simulation
• Prior experience with ARM-based processors or similar

Desired Skills :
• Experience with embedded Linux development (PetaLinux toolchain or similar)
• Proven ability to address a broad range of problems in a dynamic team environment and demonstration of communication and briefing skills are required
• How to develop and debug code with stacks, queues, linked-lists, and other common data constructs.
• A good understanding of digital and small signal analog electronics.
• Developing embedded systems under bare metal & RTOS/Linux
