Job Description:
Will be an Electronics Engineer for the Compute Element Electronics Group leading the hardware test and delivery for the Europa Clipper project.
Responsibilities for this position include:
• Lead the test effort of flight boxes which includes many flight boards whose FPGA is controlled by software.
• Prepare and/or review STM/IPTO (Safe-To-Mate/Initial Power Turn-On) and functional test procedures
- Oversight and/or conduct hardware tests
• Prepare and/or verify VnV (Verification and Validation) test matrices
• Verify that all VI’s (verification items) are completed.
• Review and confirm all hardware test results
• Write and close problem failure reports (PFRs)
• Troubleshoot hardware failures
• Close out all design analysis deficiencies (DAD’s) and inspection reports (IRs)
• Verify and release all drawings which include schematics, parts lists, printed wiring boards and printed wiring assemblies.
• Verify all design analyses are complete and applicable to all design changes.
• Lead the effort of all environmental tests which include: EMI/EMC tests, Shock tests, Vibration tests, Thermal Vacuum tests
• Prepare reviews materials, progress status reports, and documentation.

• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
• Offer contingent on ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
• Extensive understanding and application of advanced principles, theories, concepts and techniques in Hardware development from top-level requirements, design, implementation, and test.
• Experience with large and small-scale analog and digital circuits.
• Working knowledge of FPGA design
• Experience with testing of flight hardware.
• Working knowledge of electronic design analyses
• Working knowledge with hardware drawings and documentations
• Working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: general programming (e.g. C, TCL, etc.), and working knowledge of Linux.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry and/or JPL practices and standards such as Reliability Assurance Requirements, Assembly and Subsystem Level Environmental Verification, and Develop Hardware Products.

Desired Skills:
• Strong communication skill.
• Able to read board/FPGA specifications, RTL (Verilog) FPGA design
• Able to analyze analog circuitries
