Job Description:
For this FPGA engineer position, you will lead the development of the verification and validation (V&V) of FPGA design activities for highly complex and unique electronics.
- Specific responsibilities of this position include:
• Generate V&V matrices from requirements
• Review Verification Items based on V&V approach and method for each requirement for L6 Application Firmware Zynq PL and L6 Application Firmware ProASIC
• Write stimulus and checking functional coverage
• Write testbenches with past fail criteria and generate patterns
• Run regression simulation
• Generate and review coverage report
• Participate in peer and developmental reviews.
• Perform design analyses and design verification.
• Provide support to hardware testing and post-delivery integration.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering with a minimum of 9 years of related experience; a Master’s degree in similar disciplines with typically a minimum of 7 years of related experience; or a PhD in similar disciplines with typically a minimum of 5 years related experience.

*Employee will be required to engage in an open conversation on a week to week basis with supervisor. This process will be evaluating whether their performance is meeting prescribed milestones provided by supervisor.

Required Skills:
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder

• Experience with complex and large-scale FPGA development.
• Experience with the latest industry FPGA development tools, design flow.
• Working knowledge with implementing FPGA designs using industry standard FPGA development languages, such as VHDL and Verilog.
• Extensive knowledge of best industry practices in electronics and FPGA development, implementation.
• Experience with 1553, DDR3, SDDR and SPI designs.
• Experience with Zinq and ProASIC FPGAs.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.

Desired Skills:
• Experience with complex and large-scale FPGA development.
• Experience with the latest industry FPGA development tools, design flow and verification methodology, such as UVM and OVM.
• Working knowledge with implementing FPGA designs using industry standard FPGA development languages, such as VHDL and Verilog.
• Extensive knowledge of best industry practices in electronics and FPGA development, implementation, testing, and verification.
• Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
