Job Description:
Photographer will operate video cameras in studio configuration or live event settings. They will operate video cameras and audio/video recording equipment in on and off-site assignments (ENG). Work with production crew members, engineers, talent, and clients to achieve the highest quality videography within time and budget. Set up and adjust lighting to achieve artistic illumination of subjects or scenes. Properly label, input data, and store memory cards according to requirements set by the Media Librarian and Production Coordinator. This position might also be used for various production-related duties as assigned (supporting TV Operations, setting up/breaking down camera equipment or production peripherals, duplicating DVDs, etc).

Required Skills:
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
• Offer contingent on ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
• Driving (a government issued vehicle) is required for this position.  Must have a valid California driver’s license, a clean driving record and successfully pass a DMV check.
• Ability to operate a range of broadcast level video cameras, including setting white balance and luminance levels.
• Extensive knowledge of broadcast video equipment and terminology.
• Must show initiative in framing aesthetically pleasing shots and following action.
• Must be able to follow producer/director’s directions on headset, in addition to being able to work without direction in remote locations.
• Ability to interact with a wide range of people in a courteous and professional manner.
• Understanding of cameras, video formats and file formats.
• Ability to keep information confidential.
• Bachelors Degree plus 2 years of professional broadcast camera experience, or the equivalent.
• On-location production troubleshooting is a plus along with a strong understanding of streaming technology.
