Job Description: 
The Columbus Team is looking for a Systems Engineer with a strong development/systems engineering/administration  background in a *NIX environment with appropriate network competency to support the NASA Goddard ESMO NetOps team at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. The selectee will support the upgrade and implementation of various network systems spanning full life-cycle of activities from concept to utilization. As a Systems Engineer within the NetOps team the successful candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses of all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions recognizing technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Provide proposal support including writing inputs for submittal. Provide evaluation of test procedures and plans along with test data submittals and reports.
Key Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand systems level engineering requirements and drawings. Specialized knowledge in one technical discipline is supplemented with understanding of fundamentals in at least two other technical disciplines. Good communicator capable of working in a multi-disciplinary team of technologists as well as on an independent and self-directed basis.

• BS degree in a related technical area
• Minimum Years Experience 3 years
• Identity and access management - SSO, SAMLv2, OpenAuth, LDAP, RSA SecurID Access, A/D - prototype system in test phase, integration with additional platforms, upgrade support and ops engineering support needed
• Log/PCAP management - Elastic, Moloch - systems deployed, currently in parallel ops testing, integration with additional platforms, upgrade support and ops engineering support needed
• NAC - 802.1x, Forescout, Remediation - gathering requirements, design, market analysis, deployment... support needed
• Monitoring - Host/Network, SNMP/WMI - currently in production, integration with additional platforms, upgrade support and ops engineering support required
• Remote Access - PulseSecure Connect/Policy - currently in production, upgrade support and ops engineering support required
• Web Development - currently in requirements phase
