Job Description:
The R&D project area requires a mixed signals engineer to support the development of high-power stable open- and close-loop transmitter systems for low-frequencies (Development of stable 100-1000W class open- and close-loop transmitter system for magnetic signaling at low-frequencies). Additionally, the mixed signals engineer is expected to support the development of a compact low-noise multiple input analog front-end for a quasistatic magnetic detector system.

Required Skills:
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
• Offer contingent on ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
• Driving (a government issued vehicle) is required for this position.  Must have a valid California driver’s license, a clean driving record and successfully pass a DMV check.
• Experience and expertise in open- and close-loop analog power amplifiers
• Experience in matching to high-Q and low-Q antennas
• Familiarity with low-frequency antennas, and ability to supervise design and development of magnetic or electric antennas in the
• Familiarity with basic physics of fields and waves
• Analyze, design, test and characterize of transmitter chain front-end and digital back-end
• Prototyping capabilities and fabricating circuits via printed circuit boards
• Designing and prototyping of analog and digital filters, and analog-to-digital conversion circuitry, analog amplifiers for low-noise applications, and analog and digital switching techniques for low-noise applications
• RF concepts and application to lab measurement
• Background in RF systems and RF front-end design and implementation techniques
• Background in digital systems

• Effective communication skills. 
• Ability to play a supervision role over technicians in lab.
