Job Description:
SUMMARY: Performs complicated and difficult electrical engineering work of major complexity. Utilizes an extensive background to assist in the completion and execution of varied systems, LAN/WAN applications or aerospace hardware/software engineering. Formulates recommendations on routine technical problems with limited guidance. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: 
1. Provides engineering support for requirements analysis, feasibility studies, specification development, interface design, logistics analysis and human engineering activities. 
2. Conducts independent technical investigation involving the application of the principles of electronics in the origination or modification of material, component or process specifications and requirements. 
3. Performs applications/security/test engineering. 
4. Assumes lead in evaluating/modifying existing systems and recommending changes. 
5. Prepares design specifications, analyses and prepares recommendations for presentation and approval. 
6. Prepares activity progress reports. 
7. Maintains files/records/operational data related to assigned contract. 
8. Maintains technical currency and competence. 
9. Provides technical guidance to lower-level personnel. 
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
BS with 6 yrs, MS with 4 yrs, PhD with 2 yrs experience in electrical engineering or closely related technical discipline. Knowledge of SAR and INSAR/IFSAR processing. Programming skills in C++, C, python. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in both a team environment and independently.

Desired Skills:
Knowledge of Earth remote sensing; some knowledge of image processing, particularly classification.
