Will be a member of the Flight Systems Engineering, Integration & Test Section (3130) and will report to the System Verification and Validation Engineering Group Supervisor (313C). Will be responsible for assisting with Verification and Validation of flight projects anywhere from the early planning stages to the execution and closure phases – defining V&V methods and approaches, maintaining the V&V matrix, gathering and reporting metrics, supporting the production of test plans, supporting the execution of tests, and other duties assigned by the V&V Lead Engineer.
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, EE, or related technical discipline with typically a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or Masters degree in similar disciplines. Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: System Verification and Validation and/or System Integration and Test. Experience with managing requirement sets through a V&V process; working knowledge of tools used for V&V data management. General understanding and application of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques in aerospace systems engineering which may include experience targeted in a specific subsystem discipline such as thermal, propulsion, telecom, etc. Ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline technical team, ability to organize, prioritize and track a set of multi functional work assignments. Ability to problem solve. Good judgment to be able to prioritize work to meet commitments with high quality products. Good verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills. Minimum 3.0 GPA
Knowledge of Laboratory policies and procedures, NASA policies and procedures, and government regulations across a range of applications. Familiarity with Python, DOORS or equivalent tool set.
