Job Description:
the candidate would be responsible for managing services in multiple computer environments. These environments, a mix of servers, workstations, and custom hardware, provide the backbone for product development, testing, and eventual delivery for a large Raytheon Project. The candidate for this requisition would be responsible for developing and maintaining automated COTS and O/S builds and configuration in multiple server environments. The responsibilities of a service owner include representing the service across the team, communicate with management risks and any issues involving performance, availability, or security. In addition, the service owner will plan for future improvements and fixes while ensuring that any changes under the service follow the Project’s change management processes. The candidate must be a self-starter, plan effectively to complete tasks, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. This position may require some on call support and overtime as well as limited (<20%) travel as required for installation and troubleshooting support. An Active U.S. Security Clearance (Secret) is required as of day one of employment. US Citizenship is required.

Required Skills:
• An active US DoD Secret or higher clearance US Citizenship required 
• Experience with patching COTS, Windows and Linux OS, using patching tools/software and or automating patch installations, including understanding dependencies of patches, including impacts to all COTS and bespoke software on the system 
• Experience with the architecture and design of Infrastructure Audit, Monitoring, and reporting 
• Experience working with other groups such as Systems Engineering and Test Engineering on system requirements and test procedures 
• Experience preparing and presenting status to management 
• General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization 
• Understanding of Change Management processes - Version Control of software and applications using ClearCase and familiarity with DR’s, CR’s, and IR’s written with ClearQuest 
• General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization 
• Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with different engineering organizations to achieve the best designs while meeting schedule milestones 
• 6 years of related work experience

Desired Skills:
• Background in COTS product Installation 
• Experience with automation concepts, using Chef and Ruby (or similar products) for O/S builds, software installation or updates • Experience with DISA STIGs 
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux System Administration 
• Scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby) Required Education (including Major): B.S./B.A. in Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering and 6 years of related work experience or 14 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
