Oversee or perform fabrication, assembly, and testing of digital electronic boards and subassemblies.
Partner with other engineers to test and develop algorithms that validate and verify digital electronics boards and digital sub-systems. Collect, collate, organize, and update test procedures and memoranda from legacy subsystems.
Implement, integrate, develop and perform new tests as needed.
Update or develop ground support equipment (GSE) as needed.
Perform and document digital electronic engineering model and flight model testing.
Oversee or perform modifications to software and firmware as needed.
Develop and/or implement software and FPGA-based algorithms as needed.
Procure parts needed to complete existing assemblies.
Participate and fabrication and assembly of a new flight spare digital electronics assembly
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline with typically a minimum of 6 years of related experience; Masters degree in similar disciplines with a minimum of 4 years of related experience; or PhD with 2 years of experience in similar disciplines.
Broad knowledge in one or more of the following related fields: circuit design and layout, verilog or vhdl, C/C++, Matlab
Extensive understanding and wide application of principles, theories, concepts and techniques in field programmable gate array (FPGA) programming, digital communications, signal processing or circuit design.
Circuit design and layout skills in Altium Designer, and MATLAB.
Demonstrated ability to work with senior engineers and implement signal processing algorithms in software or firmware-based processing systems.
Moderate to significant experience working with flight electronics components, FPGAs and digital systems, and subsystems in pre-launch and/or postlaunch configurations.Moderate to significant experience writing, reviewing, implementing test and/or operational procedures for EM and flight digital electronics and subsystems.
