Job Description:
SUMMARY: Performs complicated and difficult electrical engineering work of major complexity. Utilizes an extensive background to assist in the completion and execution of varied systems, LAN/WAN applications or aerospace hardware/software engineering. Formulates recommendations on routine technical problems with limited guidance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: 
Provides engineering support for requirements analysis, feasibility studies, specification development, interface design, logistics analysis and human engineering activities. 
Conducts independent technical investigation involving the application of the principles of electronics in the origination or modification of material, component or process specifications and requirements. 
Performs applications/security/test engineering. 
Assumes lead in evaluating/modifying existing systems and recommending changes. 
Prepares design specifications, analyses and prepares recommendations for presentation and approval. 
Prepares activity progress reports. 
Maintains files/records/operational data related to assigned contract. 
Maintains technical currency and competence. 
Provides technical guidance to lower-level personnel. 
Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills:
Reliability Engineering Analyst (REA)
Must have a Bachelor of Science degree with equivalent course work in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Physics, or an equivalent field, and at least 15 years of experience in electronic systems reliability activities. Experience must include digital, analog, or RF design and analysis, such as Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Worst Case Analysis (WCA), Electronic Parts Stress Analysis (PSA), Single-Events Effects Analysis (SEEA), reliability assessment, modeling, prediction trade off studies, system evaluations; failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action; use of computer aided engineering tools.
Typical duties: Prepare product reliability plans, establish requirements for and monitor reliability programs; develop reliability trade-off studies; perform or review reliability analyses; assess performance with respect to requirements; evaluate effectiveness of the failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action implementation; prepare reports; support logistic activities and reporting; support system and design teams; establish reliability models and utilize models for systems and subsystems analysis.
