Job Description:
JPL Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) is seeking a new team member to develop and support web applications development. If you imagine yourself working with a team of dedicated and passionate software developers, learning new technologies while creating the best web applications that will help push the boundaries of engineering and knowledge, we want you. We are working on creating the next generation engineering network for collaborating across NASA. We need a strong full-stack developer, with particularly deep web application development experience. 

Required Skills:
Minimum 6 years experience developing Web applications on Linux operating system environments Knowledge and experience programming in Java, and Java web development frameworks: Hibernate, Spring, Struts Knowledge and experience with JS frameworks Knowledge and experience with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Foundation, etc. Experience with a variety of SQL databases Experience working on collaborative teams that follow Agile development methodologies

Desired Skills:
- Experience with Liferay portal, Liferay DXP and its IDE 
- Experience with Apache SOLR 
- Experience with Amazon Web Services 
- Experience with Docker (production environment, Swarm/Kubernetes) 
- Experience with micro service architecture (API centric development) 
- Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger framework 
- Experience with Git/GitHub use and integration 
- Experience with JIRA, ZenHub, or similar issue-tracking systems 
- Demonstrable work experience developing RESTful services 
- Demonstrable technical writing and presentation skills and shall have generated technical documents in support of software development project 
- Strong knowledge of the principles of test-driven development and continuous integration 
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment in multiple roles 
- AWS configuration/deployment and management experience 
- Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana (ELK) 
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
