Job Description:
The Senior Mechanical Technician will be responsible for: 
 Building of mechanical (mechanism and structural) sub-assemblies 
 Supporting all mechanical assembly and integration  
 Supporting testing on flight and non-flight hardware

Required Skills:
The Senior Mechanical Technician should be able to: 
 Read, interpret and work from free form drawings as well as from controlled documentation and processes. 
 Independently fabricate mechanical assemblies. 
 Independently perform verifications and documents results in a clear, precise and complete manner. 
 Assist with the development of production processes for first time production runs.  
 Have excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy. 
 Use a computer to record work performed on electronic work instructions and use email (MS Outlook) 
 Think creatively and independently while following documentation and maintaining prescribed quality standards. Note
 Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience. 
 High school diploma or GED required 
 Associates degree is desired. 
 Demonstrated experience assembling and integrating complex and precision mechanical assemblies and mechanisms. 
 Experience with bearing installation, pin presses, and other close tolerance assembly operations. 
 Experience with a wide range of mechanical hand tools. 
 Familiarity/comfort with light machining (lathe and mill work) 
 Demonstrated experience and ability to read, interpret and follow: 
 Schematics, engineering drawings, and parts list. 
 Mechanical assemblies: mechanical drawings and parts lists. 
 Proficient with computers and the ability to use MS office 
 Clean room and space flight hardware experience is preferred.
